The Apartment

I was very lucky when searching for a place to live. Susan (my cousin) helped me out a lot and I ended up finding this:

My Metro Stop (Rios Rosas)...

The hallway you enter into...

My room is on the right...

The kitchen is on the left....

Go straight into the living/dining room...

Here's the patio

And the bathroom

One month in...

It's been a while since I've found my way into the Blog, but now that my class is over I'll have much more time and plan to post with more regularity.

My time at Hyland was busy busy busy, but full of good, practical information. I met some great people and learned a lot about the English language and new teaching techniques. Since it was so intensive, I didn't have much time to get out into Madrid and explore, but I did manage to find some places...

Parque de la Montaña
A Michael Jackson Tribute...it was the day he was buried.

Plaza Mayor
That's a real person!

...they're real too...

Parque del Retiro

Moving down the street...
Puerta de Alcala

Palacio de Comunicaciones

A promotion concert for the Olympics (Madrid's in the running) in Plaza de Cibeles

On Calle Gran Vía / Calle de Alcalá. Edificio Metropolis on the left.

The infamous bear statue in Plaza de la Puerta del Sol

More in Sol

Catedral de la Almudena y Palacio Real
The Cathedral above and the Palace/Garden below
